Function of Plasma membrane

The plasma membrane is the most important component of the cells. The main function of the plasma membrane is providing the shape and the integrity exchange of the material in cells

- The main function of the plasma membrane is to organise and protect the cells. It protects the integrity of the interior cell and maintains the shape of the cells.
-Plasma membrane separates the inner environment from the outside. It separates inner and outer environment. Plasma membrane regulates growth of the cell by balancing the endocytosis and Exocytosis.

-Plasma membrane contains the structural protein which helps to maintain the shape and support the cells. Plasma membrane act as skeleton for the cells

-Plasma membrane contains Lipids which provide the flexibility and proteins to monitor and maintain the cell environment. The lipid bilayer is semi-permeable, which allows only selected molecules to diffuse across the membrane. It allows the transport of the material.
