Difference between arteries and vein

Arteries and vein are the two different types of blood vessels present in human body which circulates the blood in human body. Arteries carry the oxygenated blood into the body while veins carry the deoxygenated blood.

Following are the difference between arteries and veins:

Arteries
Veins
Arteries carry the oxygenated blood
Vein Carry the deoxygenated blood
Artery circulates the oxygenated  blood in whole body
Vein bring the deoxygenated blood to heart from the different area of the body.
Arteries are red in colour
Veins are bluish in colour
Arteries are usually situated deeper within the body.
Veins are positioned closer beneath the surface
Artery have not any valve
Vein has valve
Artery has thick elastic muscular walls.
Veins have thin nonelastic less muscular walls.
Internal Diameters of the artery is narrow
Internal diameter of the veins are wider than the artery
Contraction of muscle presence in arteries
Contraction of muscle is not happen in vein
Artery have high blood pressure the veins
Veins have a lower blood pressure than the artery
Atherosclerosis, Angina pectoris,  myocardial ischemia  are the disease related to arteries
Deep vein thrombosis, varicose vein is the  disease related to veins.
Muscle of arteries are contracted
Muscles of veins are not contracted
Pulses are detectable in Artery
Pulses are not detectable in Veins.
Arteries walls are rigid
Veins walls are collapsible
Arteries empty up at the time of death.
Veins get filled up at time of death.
